For many years I have been an active member of the Materials Research Society MRS. I have been attending the Spring Meetings in San Francisco since 1999 and also organized numerous symposia. I had the privilege to be Meeting Chair 2015 - the last MRS Spring Meeting that happened in San Francisco.

If you are a researcher, scientist or engineer working with materials and if you have not yet done so, consider coming to the MRS Spring Meeting in Phoenix AZ or to the MRS Fall Meeting in Boston MA.

If you are a motivated student, check whether your College or University has already an MRS University Chapter which you can join. If not, maybe you want to work on establishing one at your School.

Lately I have visited the University of Cologne MRS Chapter.
